Honey Cake with Nuts

This light and tasty cake is flavoured with honey and nuts and topped with Almarai butter, which gives it a rich texture and delicious taste.

Ingredients

½ cup Almarai butter at room temperature

 

¼ cup Almarai fresh milk

 

1 cup Almarai honey

 

1 cup flour

 

3 eggs

 

½ cup chopped nuts (walnuts and almonds)

 

½ cup brown sugar

 

½ teaspoon baking powder

 

¼ teaspoon salt

 

½ teaspoon cinnamon (optional, for extra flavor) 

Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 175°C (350°F).
     
  2. Grease a cake pan with Almarai butter or use parchment paper to prevent sticking.
     
  3. Mix the flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon in a large bowl. In another bowl, cream the Almarai butter with the brown sugar until the mixture is creamy. Add the honey to the mixture and mix well. Then add the eggs and blend until the mixture is smooth.
     
  4. Gradually combine the dry and wet ingredients, then add the Almarai milk until a smooth batter forms. Fold in the chopped nuts gently to evenly distribute them. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan.
     
  5. Bake in the oven for 30 minutes or until a wooden skewer inserted into the centre of the cake comes out clean. Let the cake cool in the pan for a few minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
     
  6. Serve the cake with tea or coffee as a delightful snack or dessert.
