Chocolate Dessert with Whipped Cream

Hot Chocolate is the perfect choice for a warm evening. Its creamy, rich taste adds warmth.

Ingredients

1 cup Almarai Fresh Milk

Almarai Whipped Cream

2 tbsp cocoa powder

1 tbsp sugar

1 tsp vanilla extract

½ tsp cinnamon

1 tbsp cornstarch

¼ cup melted dark chocolate

A pinch of sea salt to enhance the chocolate flavour

Chocolate shavings (optional)

Instructions
  1. Mix 1 tbsp of cornstarch in a small bowl with 2-3 tbsp of cold milk until the cornstarch is completely dissolved.
     
  2. Heat the milk in a saucepan over medium heat.
     
  3. Add the cocoa powder and sugar to the milk, stirring until fully dissolved.
     
  4. Add the cornstarch mixture to the milk, stirring continuously. Continue stirring until the mixture thickens and becomes creamier.
     
  5. Add the vanilla extract and cinnamon and mix well.
     
  6. In a separate bowl, melt the dark chocolate in the microwave or use a double boiler. Add it to the mixture and stir until fully combined.
     
  7. Pour the hot chocolate into serving cups.
     
  8. Top with whipped cream and chocolate shavings, and if desired, add a piece of dark chocolate or a sprinkle of cinnamon on top of the cream.
