Chicken Shawarma Recipe

Enjoy a delicious and fulfilling recipe with Chicken Shawarma.

Ingredients

1 Almarai yoghurt

 

2 tablespoons Almarai olive oil

 

500 grams ALYOUM chicken breasts, thinly sliced

 

Juice of one lemon

 

2 teaspoons shawarma spices

 

Salt and pepper to taste

 

1 medium-sized onion, chopped

 

2 cloves garlic, minced

 

2 tablespoons mayonnaise

 

Shawarma bread

 

Mixed vegetables for serving (cucumber, tomatoes, lettuce)

Instructions
  1.  Season the chicken slices in a bowl with olive oil, lemon juice, shawarma spices, salt, and pepper.
     
  2.  Let the chicken marinate for half an hour.
     
  3.  In a large pan over medium heat, heat a bit of olive oil and fry the chopped onion and minced garlic until golden.
     
  4.  Add the marinated chicken slices to the pan and stir until fully cooked and slightly browned.
     
  5.  In another bowl, mix Almarai yoghurt and mayonnaise until well combined.
     
  6.  Add the yoghurt and mayonnaise mixture to the fried chicken and mix until the chicken is coated with the sauce.
     
  7.  Open the shawarma bread and fill it with the chicken slices and mixed vegetables.
     
  8.  Serve the delicious Chicken Shawarma with mixed vegetables and enjoy.

    Note: You can add any additional spices or sauces according to your taste, such as minced garlic or tahini sauce. Bon appétit!
