Butter Chicken

Delicious dish known for its rich flavor and creamy texture from the melted butter.

Ingredients

Marinade:


1/2 cup fresh yoghurt 


1 tablespoon lemon juice


1 teaspoon turmeric powder


2 teaspoon garam masala


1/2 teaspoon chili powder


1 teaspoon ground cumin


1 tablespoon ginger, freshly grated


2 cloves garlic, crushed


750 g AlYoum Fresh Chicken Breast Cubes


2 tablespoon butter


1 cup tomato sauce


1 cup cream 


1 tablespoon sugar


1 1/4 tsp salt


Basmati rice for serving


Coriander (optional as garnish)

Instructions
  1. Marinate the chicken: Combine the marinade ingredients with the chicken in a bowl. Cover and refrigerate for at least 3 hours.
     
  2. Cook the chicken: Heat the butter over medium-high heat in a large frying pan. Remove the chicken from the marinade and fry in the pan for about 3 minutes.
     
  3. Add the tomato sauce, cream, sugar, and salt to the pan.
     
  4. Add any remaining marinade left in the bowl. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 20 minutes.
     
  5. Garnish with cilantro leaves, if desired, and serve with basmati rice.
